Tulsa songwriter John Fullbright to kick off Gulley Park Concert Series

John Fullbright ( Vicki Farmer)

The Gulley Park Concert Series is back.

The summer show series, held weekly at the gazebo in Gulley Park, will return tonight (June 8) to kick off its 27th season with a performance by Tulsa songwriter John Fullbright.

The series is organized by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and features free outdoor live music with plenty of room for picnic blankets and lawn chairs throughout the fields surrounding the gazebo stage at Gulley Park in east Fayetteville.

The Grammy-nominated artist has been a frequent visitor to Fayetteville over the years, showcasing his dynamic ability as a performer on piano, guitar, and vocals as a mainstay on the Fayetteville Roots Festival lineup and as a headliner on the stage at George’s. Fullbright recently released his latest album “The Liar” late last year, including 12 new original tunes.

The music starts at 7 p.m., and the concerts are free and open to the public. Coolers are welcome for those who’d like to pack beverages, snacks or dinner, but food vendors will also be set up around the park.
