Arkansas women open European tour with 112-point win over Croatian team

The Arkansas women’s basketball team finished the first of three games on its Europe tour with a 124-12 win over the InCroatia All-Stars on Monday in Split, Croatia.

The Razorbacks began the game with a 29-0 run, and with 124 points, broke an Arkansas basketball European tour record.

Emrie Ellis led the team with 19 points, followed by Saylor Poffenbarger, who logged a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Five other Arkansas players finished with double-figure points, including freshman Jenna Lawrence who ended the game just shy of a double-double with 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals.

The Razorbacks had 26 steals, forced 38 turnovers, and did not allow a single point in the fourth quarter to finish on a 23-0 run.

The Hogs face ŽKK Buducnost Podgorica at 11:30 a.m. Central on Wednesday, and the University of Regina at 10 a.m. Central on Sunday.
