Whoa baby. You’re gonna want to grab a couple sixers of your favorite energy drink if you want to make it to all the fun stuff happening in and around Fayetteville this weekend. This list is nuts.
It’s a Razorback game weekend, for one, so that always amps things up. The Razorback Football Team is taking on BYU on Saturday in their first power five matchup of the year. It’s a 6:30 p.m. kickoff at Razorback stadium.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. There is music and more happening in and around Fayetteville beginning on Thursday. First up, country acts Jason Aldean, Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent, and Dee Jay Silver are playing the Walmart AMP on Thursday.
Also on Thursday night, there’s a big show at JJ’s Live with Pecos and the Rooftops, and local reggae band Irie Lions are playing at Kingfish.
How about a performance? There are several chances to see the Broadway show Six at Walton Arts Center this weekend, and it’s the last chance to check out Dial M for Murder at TheatreSquared.
On Friday night, George’s will kick off their weekend with a happy hour performance by Full House, followed by the return of Fayetteville native-turned-touring act Nick Shoulders and OK Crawdad Friday night. George’s will host locals Boom Kinetic on Saturday night after the Hogs play.
Also on Friday night, the Razorback Baseball team will play their annual intrasquad scrimmage, The Fall Classic at 6 p.m. at Baum-Walker Stadium if you want to get an early look at next year’s squad.
JJ’s Live has a show on Friday as well, with San Diego-based rock band, Switchfoot.
There’s a vintage chopper show at Prairie Street Live on Saturday. It’s called Hill City Rumble, and in addition to the bikes, there will be music by The Phlegms and TV Preacher, food, local vendors and more.
Remember the mini beer festival taking place before a Razorback soccer game we told y’all about? Well, that’s happening on Sunday at Razorback field. Here’s more info. After that, the Hogs’ Soccer squad take on Grand Canyon on the pitch at 1 p.m.
There’s a puppy adoption and ice cream social event happening at Likewise at 2 p.m. on Sunday. If that isn’t cute enough in itself, the event is called Boops and Scoops. More.
On Sunday night, Los Angeles artist Katie Alice Greer is set to perform at AM/PM Bar along with Ozark Free Music Society. Here’s a bit more about that.
Oh. And the Annie Leibovitz at Work exhibition at Crystal Bridges opens this weekend as well.
If that’s not enough for you, there’s a bunch more below. Don’t do too many caffeine drinks.
