The 6th annual Miracle Travel Works Poker ride is coming up this weekend.
The bicycle poker ride event benefiting Miracle Travel Works, an organization that provides financial assistance to families seeking urgent medical treatment for seriously ill or injured children, will take place beginning at around noon on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Fayetteville.
There are two options for riders this year. A longer ride (13 miles) begins at Black Apple Crossing in Springdale at 11 a.m., and a shorter ride (2.9 miles) begins at Nomads Trailside where riders can begin checking in at around noon. From there, riders will visit Fossil Cove, Columbus House, Tin Roof, and Prairie Street Live to receive cards at each stop.
Riders can sign up for either option, but those who do the longer ride get an extra bonus card for their effort.
The ride ends, and the party begins, at Prairie Street Live at 4 p.m. The rider with the best hand at the end will receive the grand prize, and all riders will receive free pizza at the finish line.
Registration is $50, and funds raised during the event will benefit Miracle Travel Works.
