Woman killed, two injured in crash on Crossover Road in Fayetteville

An Elkins woman was killed and two people were injured in a crash on North Crossover Road this weekend, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.

Sarah M. Braswell, 47, was driving north near Harps Foods at about 2:12 p.m. Saturday, March 30 when her 2000 Subaru veered left and struck a 2015 Toyota head-on that was stopped in the turning lane while waiting to enter a driveway.

Police said Braswell died in the collision while Janice Ward, 70, of Fayetteville and Glen Watt, 71, of Farmington, who were both inside the Toyota, were transported to Washington Regional Medical Center with injuries.

A police corporal investigating the crash reported that the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
