(Community Creative Center)

The Arkansas Pottery Festival returns to the Community Creative Center in Fayetteville this weekend.

The three-day event is free and open to the public, and is set for Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5.

The festival will include demonstrations and lectures from two nationally recognized potters – Cherokee artist Troy Jackson, and Quapaw artist Betty Gaedtke.

An exhibition and pottery sale with works from over 100 potters from Arkansas and surrounding states will be available all weekend, along with selected works from the ceramics collections at the University of Arkansas.

A cookout and potters potluck social event is scheduled for Saturday night, with live music from the band March to August. Door prize drawings will be held each day.
