Fayetteville Movement Festival set for July 5-7 at Mount Sequoyah Center

An event combining yoga, dance, theatre, poetry, hiking, skating and more is coming to Fayetteville his summer.

The event, called Fayetteville Movement Festival, is set for the weekend of July 5-7 at Mount Sequoyah Center.

According to the schedule on the website, the weekend will kick off with a dance improv class led by instructor Blake Worthey, followed by a Mingle and Mocktails event, and closing out with a set by DJ Girlfriend.

After that, Saturday and Sunday schedules are filled with a host of movement classes and activities in all types of disciplines, including hikes, yoga classes, dance classes, roller skating, bird watching, poetry, and more.

Weekend passes range from $135-$155, and day passes are also available. According to the website, financial assistance may also be available to those who’d like to attend and are short on funds.
