The Gulley Park concert series continues this week with a performance by Fayetteville funk band, The 1 Oz. Jig.

From the band’s bio:

If you are in the crowd at a jig show don’t be surprised to hear the audience singing along, for crowd participation is one of the key elements of the bands live show. The 1 oz. Jig puts the “fun” back in “funk”. But what else would you expect from a band named after a fishing lure!

For those unfamiliar, the concert series is organized by the city’s Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs department, and features free outdoor live music with plenty of room for picnic blankets and lawn chairs throughout the fields surrounding the gazebo stage at Gulley Park in east Fayetteville.

The music starts at 7 p.m., and the concerts are free and open to the public. Coolers are welcome for those who’d like to pack snacks or dinner, but food vendors are also usually set up around the park.

The full lineup is below. For a bit more information about the event, visit www.fayetteville-ar.gov/concerts.
