The westbound lane of Dickson Street between School Avenue and West Avenue will be closed to through traffic starting Wednesday, July 10.

The closure is related to improvements to the sidewalk on the street underway as part of the city’s downtown sidewalk and walkability improvements project.

The lane will be closed from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday for about two weeks, or until the work is complete, officials said.

During the construction, traffic will be detoured to Spring Street via School Avenue, and back up West Avenue.

The project is funded by the street improvement bond approved by voters in 2019. For more info about the project, visit fayetteville-ar.gov.
