Rock Solid Shredding, an Arkansas owned and operated shredding provider, will host a free community shred event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 in the parking lot of Slim Chickens’ new office headquarters off Millsap Road in Fayetteville.

Community shred events provide local residents with an opportunity to have their paper securely shredded (and later recycled) at no cost. All paper is shredded immediately on-site in a commercial-grade mobile shred unit.

Due to capacity limitations of the shred truck, each individual or group is allowed to bring up to 5 standard sized boxes worth of paper. There is no need to remove staples, bulldog clips, or other small pieces of metal. However, large amounts of plastic (such as a three-ring binder) and the cardboard boxes themselves cannot be shredded as it contaminates the recycling process.
