If you were planning to pick up some screened compost after hearing it the city was selling it earlier this month, you’re out of luck.
According to a press release issued by city staff, the supply only lasted about a week.
Anyone still wanting a scoop (or ton) should contact the Solid Waste and Recycling office at 575-8398 to see when it will be made available.
As always, you must be a Fayetteville resident to purchase compost. A recent water bill showing solid waste charges is enough to prove residency.
