Ozark Regional Transit to begin Dickson Street shuttle service

Those who don’t want to pay to park on Dickson Street will have another option starting next week.

Ozark Regional Transit announced today a new plan to shuttle passengers from the Fayetteville Square to Dickson Street from 5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights beginning this New Year’s Eve.

The program will utilize the free evening parking around the Fayetteville square, including the two city lots behind the Bank of Fayetteville.

From the release:

The purpose of this route is to help out the Dickson Street merchants/Walton Arts Center/general public, by providing for access to free parking. More visitors to Dickson street and the Walton Arts Center benefit all of us by helping our local businesses and economy.

The shuttle will run every 10 minutes, and will be free to ride, but Ozark Regional Transit will accept donations “to help out local charities.”
