The University of Arkansas Global Campus Theater will screen Carbon Nation at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

In case you haven’t yet heard, the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market opens in 18 days.

This year’s opening day market is set to have giant puppets, musicians, a flash mob, and if we’re lucky, more breakdancing kids.

Speaking of the square, two screenings of “Carbon Nation” will take place today in the University of Arkansas Global Campus theater.

Fayetteville is one of the first 10 cities in the nation to screen the feature-length film about climate change solutions and their impact on social, economic and national security issues.

Registration is required (online or 1-800-952-1165) due to the limited amount of seating available. The afternoon screening is at 2 p.m. and the evening event begins at 7 p.m. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A session with Peter Byck, the film’s director.

Elsewhere, the Resolve Tour is at the UA Student Union, there’s live jazz at Teatro Scarpino, and there are a ton of SXSW-bound bands at Rogue.
