Wednesday To-do: May 25

No more tornadoes. No more tornadoes. No more tornadoes.

That should work, right?

If the Facebook event we stumbled across this morning is correct, power rock trio and 2010 Arkansas Times Musicians Showcase winners Brother Andy & His Big Damn Mouth are set to play at Rogue tonight.

We’re having a hard time confirming the show this morning, but one peek inside the windows at Rogue this evening should do the trick. It’ll be hard to miss the 6-foot-6-inch-tall, redheaded/bearded frontman Andy Warr. You may know him from a handful of Little Rock bands such as Sweet Eagle, Iron Tongue, or Pilot Whale. Or maybe you’ve seen him on Thick Syrup Records owner Travis McElroy’s chest?

We’ve yet to hear the other band on the bill, Meatsweat, but Brother Andy is a Big Enough Damn Deal. If it’s for real, consider stopping by. For real.

Also tonight, The Lightbulb Club hosts Iowa-based Daesoph and Fayetteville’s own Niall, Smoke & Barrel has Wii bowling, and Walton Arts Center begins two nights of comedian Ron White (after-party at George’s).
