Thursday To-do: Aug. 11

With at least a 50 percent chance of rain in the forecast for the remainder of the day, it’s tough to say whether the final Gulley Park Summer Concert Series show will actually take place this evening.

What’s not tough to say, however, is “Thank you, Mother Nature.”

No offense to local supergroup Uncrowned Kings or anything, but we need rain like Brad Paisley needs a Ctrl + Z.

If heading out to Gulley Park (7 p.m., free, bring chairs) isn’t your thing, there’s plenty more going on tonight including Scott Leeper at Smoke & Barrel, Jon Shorter Band at Powerhouse, Wiley & Zach at Kingfish and a 4-band show at Rogue.

Happy Birthday!
