After two years of vacancy, the building once home to T.G.I. Friday’s in north Fayetteville appears to be back in the restaurant business.

Workers from NWA Sign Shop were installing Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery signs on the north and east sides of the building located at 3619 N. Mall Ave. Thursday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Tilted Kilt confirmed in April 2010 that a Fayetteville location was “in the pipeline,” but would not confirm a location or an expected open date.

An email sent to the corporate headquarters Thursday was not immediately returned, but with signs being installed, it seems a pretty safe bet that the restaurant will soon be open for business.

According to the company’s website, the Celtic-themed restaurant chain which features a scantily dressed wait staff has over 60 locations in 20 states across the country.
