An opening ceremony was held last week for The Iceberg, a 5,600-square-foot co-working facility located in the basement of the Metro District Commercial Center.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch through Wednesday morning for parts of Northwest Arkansas including Washington County.

UA Athletics Director Jeff Long was named as one of five finalists for the 2012 SportsBusiness Journal and Sports Business Daily Athletic Director of the Year for his achievements at Arkansas.

Summer People

New York-based band Summer People are in town tonight for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern. The group is headed back from SXSW and was last in town in September with Cleveland’s HotChaCha.

Locals The Plaid Jackets are also on the bill for what will likely be the band’s last show for a while. According to a Facebook update, drummer Matt Johannesen is moving to Springfield, Mo.

Tonight’s $3, 21+ show starts at around 9 p.m.

Also this evening, Comedians of NWA will host a reunion of sorts at West End. The open-mic group, which got its start at the bar on West Avenue, has since moved on to UARK Bowl. Tonight, they’ll hold a cover-free event at their old stomping grounds. Sign-up is at 8:30 p.m. The show starts at 9 p.m.
