Better stock up today.

Today is the last day to purchase fireworks in Fayetteville. Better stock up if you plan to shoot fireworks on the make-up day which was set for Sept. 3, Labor Day.

University of Arkansas officials are expected to ask the Fayetteville A&P Commission for a $1 million pledge toward conversion of the old Field House building into a 700-seat performing arts center on the university campus.

Arkansas head football coach John L. Smith may soon file for bankruptcy as a result of several failed real estate investments in Kentucky, the Associated Press reports.
