Art Amiss visual art show set for Sunday, Aug. 19 at Rogue

Art Amiss will hold a visual art show on Sunday, Aug. 19 from 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at Rogue.

The non-profit artist collective plans to exhibit work in various media created by artists living in, working in, or from Arkansas.

Live music during the event will be provided by guitarist Pat Pathoumthong, and an art auction will be held to benefit the Peace at Home Family Shelter.

Admission is $3, and all of the proceeds benefit Art Amiss to help cover costs for future art events, as well as to support grants to support artists from around the state. Recent grants include funds to offset recording costs for local band Egyptr, and support for Las Fotos Project, a project intended to empower Latina youth through photography.

The artist collective is still taking last-minute submissions for the show through midnight tonight (Aug. 14). Guidelines for submission are available at artamiss.org.
