Volunteers are needed for the fifth annual Lee Creek Cleanup is set for Saturday, Sept. 8 at Devil’s Den State Park.

Fayetteville’s hotel, motel and restaurant (HMR) tax receipts continue to rise this year. Receipts reported in July were $214,750, a 4.5 percent increase over the same month last year.

The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville raised more than $100 million for the second consecutive year. For the 2012 fiscal year ending June 30, the university recorded $108.1 million in private gift support, surpassing its goal of $103 million.

Detroit-based producer GRiZ is coming to Fayetteville next month.
