The Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department will host the first-ever Parkapalooza at Lake Fayetteville on Saturday, May 18, in celebration of the National Kids to Parks Day initiative.
Events planned include disc golf, kayaking, sand volleyball, a one-mile fun run, a 5K race, and bike rides on both the soft-surface and paved trails around the lake.
Also included are tours of the butterfly house at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, a trail ribbon-cutting and the official unveiling of artist Stacy Levy’s Spiral Wetlands installation as part of the Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere celebration.

9-11 a.m. – Kayaking at Lake Fayetteville marina
9-11 a.m. – Sand volleyball at Veterans Memorial Park
