Don’t Stop Please

Fayetteville band Don’t Stop Please will celebrate the release of a brand new music video for their song Long List of Numbers on Friday night at George’s. Locals SW/MM/NG and Damn Arkansan will open the show. Admission is $5 at the door.

Little Rock bands Whale Fire and Bombay Harambee will be in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel Friday night. Locals Native American are also on the bill.

Speak for Yourself, a storytelling open mic event is set for Friday night at Fayetteville Underground. There’s also an art reception beforehand featuring Chigago collage artist Matt Avery and Fayetteville artist Greg Moore and a new installation titled “Lost Cat.” The art reception is at 6 p.m., and Speak For Yourself begins at 8 p.m.

Saturdays in Fayetteville always start with the Farmers’ Market on the square.

There’s has a big roller derby bout on Saturday night at Starlight Skatium. The NWA Roller Derby All-Stars will take on the Tornado Alley Rollergirls from Oklahoma City. Admission is $10.

Dream Big, a gala-style benefit for the Children’s Safety Center, is set for 7 p.m. Saturday night at Fayetteville Town Center. The event features live music by Groovement, food, and more. Here’s more info about the event.
