Randall Shreve and the Sideshow

Fayetteville filmmaker Matthew Wolfe is shooting a special two-hour performance with local band Randall Shreve and the Sideshow at George’s Majestic Lounge Saturday night. Earlier on, local favorites Earl & Them and Leah & The Mojo Doctors are playing happy hour.

Also in tunes, local super-group Flipoff Pirates will be back at Smoke & Barrel Tavern, and there’s a metal show at the Lightbulb Club with Hellbeast, Beyond Gods & Empires and Eyes of Iron.

Grandma Kelsey

Fayetteville Underground has a show on Saturday night with Grandma Kelsey & Lionsweb (as Psycho Adorable) and Dana Louise from local band Air Loom. Here’s an interview with Grandma Kelsey we published earlier this week.

Also in music, Basement Brew are at Smoke & Barrel Tavern, and former Memphis Pencils frontman Martin Bemberg’s new project High Lonesome Ark is at The Lightbulb Club with locals Dividend and Formals.

There’s another reunion show at The Phoenix with rockers SilverStone returning to the stage after being on hiatus the last few years. Admission is $5 at the door.

St. Louis troubadour Pokey LaFarge, known for his unique voice and original music steeped in traditional American blues, country, and Western swing, is set to perform at George’s Majestic Lounge Sunday night. Tickets are $10.

Got any good stories to tell? There’s a storytelling open mic night from 7-9 p.m. at Maxine’s Tap Room called Speak for Yourself. There’s no cover charge for the event.
