Greenhouse Grille to host Apple Seeds Inc. ‘Farmraiser’

A local organization is planning to build a new urban “teaching farm” on College Avenue in Fayetteville, and there’s a fundraiser this weekend to help make the project a reality.

Apple Seeds Inc., a non-profit that seeks to inspire “healthy living through garden-based education,” launched a Kickstarter campaign this month to support the project, and the real-world counterpart to the online fundraiser is this Sunday, Nov. 24 at Greenhouse Grille.

The event begins at 5 p.m., and will include live music by local folk duo Still on the Hill.

Expect food from Greenhouse Grille, AquaFire, Flying Burrito, Arsagas, and Hammontrees. Locally brewed beer will be provided by Fossil Cove and Apple Blossom Brewing Company. A raffle is also planned featuring items from local artists and businesses.

Admission is $5 or $15 per family. All of the proceeds go toward the organization’s goal to raise $10,000 this month.
