If you have driven down Steele Boulevard lately, you’ve probably noticed a new development under construction across from Razorback Cinema and Academy Sports.

The super-modern stucco and cedar buildings are home to over 300 apartments and by next spring, will also be home to restaurants, a coffeeshop, and retail stores serving the neighborhood. And even though it may not look like it from the street just yet, the first apartments at Uptown Fayetteville are almost finished, and the first residents are moving in December 1st.

Uptown is a totally new concept for Northwest Arkansas. The property is designed as an extension of the regional trail, welcoming pedestrians and bicycles with wide, landscaped sidewalks, streetside dining, and public art at every turn. The first piece of public art, a mural by Fayetteville artist Olivia Trimble, will be painted in December. In addition to a great pool, Uptown also offers courtyards and a roof deck with firepits and an outdoor kitchen.

The apartments are bright and modern, with details like built-in shelving, pocket doors, and dimmable lighting. There are even a few units with spiral stairs leading to lofts and private roof decks. Under the hood, the apartments have fiber internet, a smart thermostat, an advanced hot water system, and of course the green building features Specialized Real Estate Group has become known for.
