How Fayetteville voted in the 2016 General Election

With all of the votes from the 2016 General Election now fully certified and reported, we thought it would be interesting to tally up the Fayetteville-specific results for each of the contested races on the Nov. 8 ballot.

The Washington County Election Commission has all of the countywide results posted, including precinct tallies taken from each polling location.

With that data in hand, we broke each race into five Fayetteville-specific categories, including a total citywide tally and a breakdown of each of the city’s four wards.

Included below are results for each contested race that voters in Fayetteville were asked to weigh in on. Obviously, the city-specific results listed below won’t match the countywide, statewide, or nationwide tallies. We made note of the winners of each election below each table.
