The Runway Bike Park at the Jones center is turning four, and there’s an anniversary celebration in the works for this fall.
Jones Center officials this week announced plans to partner with local bike organizations Buddy Pegs and Pedal it Forward NWA to host a day of free cycling events and activities in honor of the anniversary.
The event will include bike giveaways, an adventure zone for young cyclists, a bike parade, a bike-skills demo, and more.
Runway Bike Park is a 2.75-acre bicycle skills and recreation venue located on center’s outdoor campus. The park includes one of the largest asphalt pump tracks in North America, along with a skills park and a bicycle playground.
Specific times and details will be announced at a later date.
The event is free to attend and open to the public.
