There’s a film festival happening in town this weekend. Fayetteville Film Fest will take place at the Pryor Center and UA Global Campus on the Fayetteville square. The event will include screenings of features, shorts, documentaries, along with panel discussions and more. Here’s more about that.

The first ever Momentous electronic music festival is happening at The Momentary this weekend. Headliners at the festival include Arca, Four Tet, Ben UFO, Jlin, and others. There are still some tickets available, and here’s where to get them.

George’s will host a weekend of local music, with local rockers Honeyjack for happy hour on Friday night, a free show featuring Ted Hammig and the Campaign later on Friday night, and locals 90lb Wrench on Saturday. Ticket info for George’s shows is here.

The City of Fayetteville will host a free event in the new Lower Ramble outdoor area just off the Razorback Greenway Friday night. It’s called Fall Fridays in the Ramble, and this week, the event will include live music by local folk trio, Route 358. Music starts at around 5 p.m.

Also in live music, JJ’s Live has some big shows this weekend with YouTube sensation Cooper Allen on Friday night, country act Pecos and the Rooftops on Saturday, and southern rockers Gov’t Mule on Sunday. Here’s ticket info for those shows.

Smoke & Barrel Tavern also has a big weekend of live music as well, with Oklahoma City-based band Stepmom, along with locals Olympics and Bootleg Royale on Friday night, and one-man band Henry Invisible and locals The Irie Lions on Saturday.

Walton Arts Center has a family show this weekend, with everyone’s favorite tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff, Winnie the Pooh. Here’s ticket info on that.

TheatreSquared has a new show that opened last week with Detroit ’67, the critically-acclaimed show by Tony nominee and MacArthur ‘Genius’ grant winner Dominique Morisseau. Here’s more.

How about a bike race? The (relatively) new event by All Sports Productions, a gravel race called Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder, is happening on Sunday at Lake Wedington. Details are here.

There’s a new eSports event called ReWired Fest taking place Oct. 21-22 at Bud Walton Arena. The event will include esports tournaments, gaming, music, action sports, and more. More info is at the event website.

Longtime local t-shirt company Houndstooth is celebrating 30 years in business on Saturday at their store. The company will celebrate the occasion with an event from 5-9 p.m. featuring live music by Vintage Pistol, along with a photo booth, door prizes, and other festivities. Here’s a bit more about that.
