Brooklyn-based indie artist Tomberlin announced a 15-date spring tour this week, and right in the middle of that list was a date in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The artist is set to perform at George’s Majestic Lounge on Monday, May 8.

Tomberlin is the stage name for Sarah Beth Tomberlin, a 27 year-old singer songwriter and Saddle Creek recording artist. Sarah Beth posted a handful of songs she had recording while living in Louisville to Bandcamp, and those songs caught the attention of Saddle Creek resulting in her recording contract. Her musical rise was swift. Less than a year after the first show she ever played, she was performing on Jimmy Kimmel. Since her debut album At Weddings was released in 2018, Tomberlin has released an EP called Projections in 2020, and her latest release, another full length called i don’t know who needs to hear this in 2022.

Trace Mountains is also on the bill.

The show is another of local promoter Roger Barrett’s On the Map Shows. The series has also included shows like last weekend’s Big Thief show at George’s, along with upcoming shows like Bill Callahan at Mount Sequoyah March 10, Water Liars March 25 at George’s, Tenci at George’s April 9, Snail Mail on April 28, and Shame at George’s May 28.

Tickets to the show range from $16-18, and are on sale now at the George’s ticketing site.
