It’s going to be one of those weekends, everyone. One where there’s way too much to do, and not enough time to do it all.
In other words, you’re gonna have to make some choices. Tough choices. We don’t envy you, but you can do it. Just try your best.
There are a couple crawfish boils happening this weekend. The first is on Thursday night at Mount Sequoyah when they celebrate their Third Thursday with some mudbugs, corn, sausage, and Fossil Cove brews. Here’s more about that.
There’s another one on Sunday night at Theo’s when they’ll host their annual Campbell Avenue Crawfish Boil, featuring unlimited crawfish, live music and more. Details about that one are here.
Walton Arts Center has a dance performance on Sunday night from Visceral Dance Chicago. Here’s more about that.
Also in shows, TheatreSquared has a new comedy called Chicken & Biscuits that’s fresh off Broadway you could check out. Here’s a schedule and ticket info.
It’s an absolutely crazy weekend for music. The Walmart AMP opens their season this weekend with performances by Walker Hayes on Friday night, followed by Tyler Childers and Charley Crocket on Saturday. If any tickets remain to those shows, here’s where to get them.
JJ’s Live has a big show on Friday night with the return of Memphis rockers, Lucero. The band just released a new record in late February, and they’ll be in town to promote the new tunes. Here’s ticket info.
The UA’s annual springtime music festival Springtime of Youth is happening on Saturday at the Baum Walker Stadium parking lot. The show starts at 3 p.m. and features rapper Amine, rock band Group Love, and songwriter Faye Webster along with local band Ted Hammig and the Campaign. Here’s their website.
As always, George’s has a full lineup of music as well, with The Brook & The Bluff and Savannah Connely on Thursday, country acts Conner Smith and Mackenzie Carpenter on Friday night, a Prince tribute on Saturday, and New Orleans legends Rebirth Brass Band performing in Fayetteville for the first time on Sunday night. We wrote about that recently, and more details are here. Locals Maxine’s Tap Room are sponsoring the show.
There’s a cool show at the AM/PM bar in the quonset huts just off Dickson on Saturday night with the return of Fayetteville band, Lost John.
Also in cool shows, surf rock maniacs Daikaju will return to Smoke & Barrel Tavern for a performance on Sunday night. Usually, something ends up on fire at these shows.
There’s even more below, and like we said, good luck choosing what to do because it’s just a whole lot. Have a great weekend, everyone.
