(Staff photo)We’ve had a few folks reach out about the fresh coat of white paint that was recently added to the building formerly home to The Gypsy on College, and whether we know what’s happening there.
The answer, for now, is that the building (located at 1930 N. College Ave.) is for sale seeking its next tenant.
We also noticed someone power washing the building, painting the exterior, and doing some work to clean out the inside, but we’re told the work was part of a process to get the building and surrounding 0.69-acre lot ready for sale.
The 5,625-square-foot building was recently listed for $995,000 by agent-owner Bob Hopmann. The listing describes the property as a “redevelopment opportunity.”
The building has been vacant since around 2010 when The Gypsy on College closed its doors. Before that, it was home to businesses such as The Dart Room and The Huddle Club.
We’ll keep our eyes peeled for signs of something new that might be popping up there in the future.
