The Hogs will get another shot at the Blue Devils, this time in the friendly confines of the Basketball Palace of Mid America.

The Razorback men’s basketball team will take on Duke at Bud Walton Arena in a game set for game is set for 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29 this season as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, it was announced on Wednesday.

The last time the two teams met, it was for a shot at the Final 4 as the Hogs dropped an Elite 8 matchup to the Blue Devils in 2022.

The time before that, Arkansas beat Duke to win the 1994 National Championship.

It is only the 4th matchup between the two schools, with the all time series tied at 2-2. It is the first ever regular season matchup for the squads, and will make the first time Duke has ever played in Bud Walton Arena.

It is also the first year for the new ACC/SEC Challenge. For the previous nine year, the SEC was paired in a similar conference challenge with the Big 12. The Hogs finished 4-5 in those games, according to ArkansasRazorbacks.com.

It’s going to be a madhouse.

Duke is currently ranked No. 2 in ESPN’s Way Too Early 2023-24 Basketball Rankings, with the Hogs coming in at No. 14.

Arkansas returns five scholarship players – Devo Davis, Trevon Brazile, Makhi Mitchell, Jalen Graham, and Joseph Pinion – from last year’s squad that finished their season in the Elite 8 where they lost to the eventual National Champion UConn Huskies.

The full schedule for the Razorbacks 2023-24 season should be released in the coming weeks. The Hogs are set to open their season likely sometime in November.
