( Funk Factory / Courtesy)The Funk Factory performance scheduled for Thursday, June 29 as part of the Gulley Park Concert Series has been postponed due to extreme heat in the forecast this week, officials announced this week.
The concert has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gulley Park gazebo.
The Kidz Night activities including obstacle course inflatables, bounce house, face painting, jumbo size yard games and more originally scheduled this week has also been moved to July 20, and will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures on Thursday are expected to reach into the triple digits at 101 degrees, with a heat index at 103 degrees.
