The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market is back on the square on Thursday this week.

Market officials when responding to an email inquiry said that at least 10 vendors bringing a variety of local produce – including at least one meat vendor – have committed to bringing goods on Thursdays this summer.

If all goes well, the Thursday markets will continue through the end of September.

“(We’ll have Thursday markets open) through September until produce starts running low but it looks good this year,” officials said. “Even if we don’t go around the whole square there’s a lot of diversity in produce,”

The market’s new Thursday hours will mirror the open hours for their Tuesday markets, open each week from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. The additional day will mark the first time since 2019 the market has been open on Thursdays.

The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market is also open on Saturdays each week from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the Fayetteville square.
