It’s been a hot week, and one of the city’s best sources of relief from the heat is temporarily closed.
The Wilson Park pool has been closed since Thursday due to a mechanical issue with the pump, city officials said.
The Parks & Recreation Department is working to fix the issue as quickly as possible, but no timetable for completion of the repairs has been announced.
City officials did say in a Facebook comment that swim lessons canceled on Thursday have been rescheduled for Friday, so there is some optimism the repairs could be completed later today (July 14).
Might be a good day to hit the splash pad at nearby Walker Park, where city officials are seeking feedback on a draft of their master plan for the park from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
