Mount Sequoyah is celebrating its 100th year of programming this year, and they’ve got a big party coming up as a result.
Mount Sequoyah Center will host a celebration on Saturday, Aug. 5 featuring two performances by beloved local band Trout Fishing in America, a carnival, and other festivities.
The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with a carnival featuring games, inflatables, face painting, food truck fare, and snow cones.
Trout Fishing in America will perform their kid’s music set at 2 p.m. in Clapp auditorium, followed by a second set of original tunes at 7 p.m. near the cross overlook.
Admission to the carnival is $5, and tickets to the Trout Fishing in America show are $15 for children and $25 for adults. Concert tickets include admission to the carnival. A family package including admission to both events is available for $70.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Mount Sequoyah Center, a non-profit that offers lodging, dining, event, meeting, and recreation space for summer camps, music, arts programming, and more.
