(UA Athletics)The No. 8-ranked Arkansas soccer team opened the 2023 season Thursday with a 6-0 win over Arkansas State.
The team scored five minutes into the match and were up 2-0 after on own goal by Arkansas State at the 11-minute mark. Arkansas scored twice more in the first period and twice in the second period in front of an announced home crowd of 1,983.

All five Razorback-scored goals were shot by different Razorback players, including first-time scorer freshman Patricia Tsokos.
Arkansas finished the match with 34 shots and held Arkansas State to seven.
The Hogs face Oregon at home on Thursday in a match that will be streamed on SEC Network+.
