(Staff photo)The Rib Crib restaurant previously planned at 2190 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Fayetteville won’t open after all, officials confirmed this week.
We noticed interior signage for the franchise at the location back in March, and exterior signs had appeared on the restaurant over the summer. Those signs were removed recently, however, and a spokesperson for the company confirmed their plans have changed.
“The determination was made to focus on growing the business in existing RibCrib locations at this time,” said Phillip Stark, Franchise Operations Support for the company told the Flyer in an email this week. “Hopefully RibCrib will be in Fayetteville in the future.”
The Tulsa-based chain currently operates around 60 locations primarily in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas.
Rib Crib also operates a location nearby in Springdale.
