Future home of Tuskers Tavern, a new bar and restaurant in the works in east Fayetteville (Staff photo)A new upscale tavern and restaurant is in the works in east Fayetteville.
The bar, called Tuskers Tavern, is a project by East Side Grill, Theo’s, and Southern Food Company owners Todd and Marti Martin and their South by Northwest Hospitality company.
It will be located across the parking lot of East Side Grill at 1830 N. Crossover Road, in the building next to Mess Hall 45.
Locals Zack and Natalie Wakefield had the vision for the bar, Todd Martin told us this week, and are also involved in the project.
The bar will serve beer, wine, cocktails, and some food including sharable plates, salads, and more.
The idea is to create another option for an after-work drink and gathering place for neighbors on the east side of town in a comfortable, upscale atmosphere.
Renovations on the space have begun. If all goes well, the new bar will open sometime in late fall or early winter.
