The new place, called Señor Munchies, officially opened for business on Sept. 1 at 2227 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The restaurant is a project by locals Miguel Avelar and his wife, who he said have more than 25 years of combined restaurant experience.
The restaurant will serve all types of Tex-Mex cuisine including tacos, fajitas, and more with an additional focus on “antojitos” (munchies) like sopes, quesadillas, gorditas, and machetes.
Señor Munchies is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday for lunch from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., according to the company’s Facebook page.
