Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will kick off a new season of music with a new show featuring music by Bernstein and Rachmaninoff this month.

SoNA will perform their first show of the 2023-24 season on Sept. 23 with a performance titled “Great Romantics.”

The show will include music from Leonard Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story paired with Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2.

“This emotional program is a wonderful way to commence the season and showcase our orchestra’s expressive power,” said SoNA music director Paul Haas, who will once again conduct the orchestra this season.

In addition to the music, ticket holders can arrive early at 6:30 p.m. for a creative conversation with Haas to learn ore about the program, including insights from the lives of the artists who composed the music.
