Barnhill Arena (UA Athletics)Razorback fans will get their first look at the 2023-24 men’s basketball team at the Red-White Showcase next month.
The annual scrimmage is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 inside Barnhill Arena, the pre-Bud Walton home of the Hogs, where head coach Eric Musselman has held the showcase since he arrived in 2019.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m., admission is free, and fans can park in all lots west of Razorback Road and Lot 44 for free after 5 p.m.
Musselman’s team returns five scholarship players from last year’s Sweet 16 squad – Trevon Brazile, Davonte Davis, Jalen Graham, Makhi Mitchell and Joseph Pinion. Layden Blocker and Baye Fall are the team’s two freshmen.
The roster also includes seven transfers in El Ellis (Louisville), Khalif Battle (Temple), Keyon Menifield (Washington), Denijay Harris (Southern Miss), Chandler Lawson (Memphis), Tramon Mark (Houston) and Jeremiah Davenport (Cincinnati).
The Red-White Showcase is one of two scheduled preseason events, alongside an exhibition game against Purdue on Oct. 28 at Bud Walton Arena.
Arkansas opens the season against Alcorn State on Nov. 6.
