Fruitcake adults-only holiday market set for Nov. 18

A new holiday market allowing vendors to get as weird as they want without worrying about offending the littles is coming to Fayetteville this fall.

The new event, called Fruitcake Holiday Market, is set for 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center.

The event is the brainchild of locals Evan McDonald and Emily Walker, and will include local craft vendors, holiday foods, free bingo, custom cocktails, live tattooing, a drag performance, photo pop up, and more.

From the description of the event:

What we’re offering vendors is a chance to engage more completely with your adult audience! Bring on your bawdy, your naughty, and your hotty creations that wouldn’t fly at the farmers market! If that’s not your thing, no problem, we’re advertising this to the public as a complete experience that can be enjoyed by any adult. A time to get their holiday shopping done in a fun, less chaotic environment than is typical of most markets.

The event is currently seeking vendors, and the application is open here.

Tickets to the event will be $5, and those are on sale now via Eventbrite.
