Dia de los Muertos event set for Nov. 3 at Community Creative Center

A celebration including art, live dance, food, drinks, and more is coming to Fayetteville this weekend.

Community Creative Center will host a Dia de los Muertos celebration from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3 at their facility, located at 505 W. Spring Street in Fayetteville.

The event will include a ceramics workshop featuring artist Lupita Albarran, who will teach attendees how to create a clay sugar skull, as well as a performance of folkloric dance by Latin Arts Organization’s Ballet Folklorico Herencia de Mexico, locally made tamales, and more.

The event will also include an ofrenda set up to honor loved ones who have passed, and attendees are encourated to bring a small item to leave on the ofrenda.

The event is free to attend and open to the public.
