There comes a day in the life of people who own a bar, we think, when they realize that no one can stop them from hosting four nights of Nicholas Cage movie nights within the span of a week.
Not their family members. Not their employees. Not the cops. No one.
And sometimes, those same bar owners act on those urges. They set up the projector. They acquire the films. They make the poster. They post it on the internet for everyone to see.
When you think about it, there really isn’t a good reason not to do it. It’s a solid idea. Respect.
I guess what we’re saying is, that day has come for local watering hole, AM/PM Bar, and the dates are set for Nic Cage November coming up Nov. 25, 28, 29, and 30 at the bar.
To hear them tell it, their customers asked for this. “We’ve had so many requests for this,” they said in the announcement. “Don’t say we never listen.”
The bar will screen Vampire’s Kiss this weekend, on Saturday, Nov. 25, followed by Face / Off on Nov. 28, Wicker Man on Nov. 29, and Raising Arizona on Nov. 30.
The screenings will take place indoors, and all of the films will start at 7 p.m.
AM/PM Bar is located at 546 W Center St B in Downtown Fayetteville.
