Fayetteville police investigate shooting on Deane Street

FAYETTEVILLE — Police have announced an investigation into a shooting which took place Friday morning that left one person with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to the 1800 block of West Deane Street for a report of a shooting at about 8:51 a.m. Friday, according to a social media post.

The victim was transported to a local medical facility, according to the post.

Police said the suspect had not been located as of about 12 p.m. Friday.

An initial investigation has led police to believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
