Arkansas gymnastics hosts season opener against Georgia on Friday

The Arkansas gymnastics team will host their season opener against Georgia on Friday, Jan. 12 at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville.

The meet begins at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are available online, and are $5 for youth ages 17 and under and $10 for adults.

The program set a season ticket sales record for the third year in a row, with 2,250 tickets sold as of Monday, the school announced.

The university in June signed a new agreement with fifth-year coach Jordyn Wieber that could extend her employment with the Razorbacks through 2028. The new three-year deal runs through April 30, 2026 and includes a series of scheduled salary increases and up to two one-year agreement extensions based on NCAA Gymnastics Regional appearances.

Arkansas will have 11 regular season meets with five appearances at home. The first three home contests of the season include Friday’s meet with Georgia, along with Auburn on Jan. 26 and Kentucky on Feb. 23.
