Northern Irish company to perform ‘The University of Wonder & Imagination’ at Jones Center Feb. 17

A theatre company known for its interactive performances involving magic, illusion, technology, and more is coming to The Jones Center this winter.

Cahoots, an interactive theatre company from Belfast, Northern Ireland will perform their show The University of Wonder and Imagination at The Jones Center at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17 as part of the center’s Fam Jam series.

From the description of the show:

With live actors and a large digital cast, The University of Wonder & Imagination combines magic and illusion with multimedia technology for an innovative experience that will boggle your mind and spark your imagination.

Kids, assemble with your fellow students and journey to the most unusual of universities! Meet the mysterious Professor Bamberg who will guide you through the interactive experience, where the choices you and the audience make will shape your unique course.

Choose your subjects of study, interact with the liveliest of lecturers and encounter all kinds of problems and puzzles, unlocking your magical powers as you go.

In addition to the performance, the Fam Jam series also includes a moment class for kids and adults, a public ice skating session, and a public swimming session as part of the festivities. A full schedule of activities for the Feb. 17 Fam Jam event is below.

Tickets are $10 per person, and include access to all the days festivities.

11 a.m. – Movement class for kids & adults
12:30-2:30 p.m., 7-9 p.m. – Public-session ice skating
