Walton Arts Center announces 2024 VoiceJam a cappella finalists

The VoiceJam Competition, produced by Walton Arts Center, returns this spring and will feature eight a cappella groups from across the country competing for the title of grand champion.

The competition will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, and the grand champion will be selected by a panel of judges. The audience will also be able to vote for their favorite group to be recognized as the audience-choice award.

The groups include VOLT from the University of Tennessee; Voices from the University of Arkansas; Trillium from Dallas-Fort Worth; Vocal Point from the University of Delaware; The Amateurs from the Washington University; Green Tones from the University of North Texas; PFC from MacArthur High School in San Antonio; and Final Measure from the University of Houston.

The event is part of the VoiceJam Festival, which kicks off at 8 p.m. Friday, April 12 with a performance by professional a cappella group, Take 6. The multi-Platinum sextet is known for its mix of gospel, jazz, R&B and pop.

Tickets for Take 6’s performance are available for $10, while competition passes are $27. A combo ticket for both the Take 6 performance and the competition can be purchased for $29 plus fees.
