Early voting underway in primary, judicial elections

Early voting is underway in the Washington County preferential primary and non-partisan judicial general election. 

Voters can cast their ballots for candidates in primary elections for President, U.S. Congress, Secretary of Treasurer, State Representative, Justice of the Peace, Constable, Non-partisan Judicial Candidates, and other races. Arkansas voters will pick a new chief justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court, and the annual local school millage is also on the ballot, with no changes recommended to the rate.

Ballots may be cast at the Washington County Courthouse on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, March 2. The courthouse will also be open for the last day of early voting on Monday, March 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Early votes may also be cast at Fayetteville Public Library (401 W. Mountain St.) Feb. 21-23 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.; at Medical Arts Pharmacy (2515 E. Huntsville Road) Feb. 20-23 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Feb. 26-March 1 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.; at Rise Physical Therapy (2668 E. Citizens Dr.) from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24; at Unity of Fayetteville Church (4880 W. Wedington Dr.) Feb. 20-23 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Feb. 26-March 1 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Other early voting centers around Washington County include American Legion in Springdale (200 Spring St., Springdale), Elkins Community Center (162 Doolin Dr.), Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale (1700 W. Huntsville Ave.), Prairie Grove Fire Station (131 S. Neal St.), Springdale Public Library (405 S. Pleasant St., Springdale), Tontitown City Hall (235 E. Henri De Tonti Blvd.), West Fork Community Center (222 Webber St.), and Lincoln Public Library (107 W. Bean St.).
